Washington Island Town Board Seeking Candidates for Vacancy

Because of the April 2 election process during which Richard Tobey was elected to two board positions, there is an opening for the fourth supervisor on the Washington Island Town Board. The board is seeking self-nominations for the two-year-term position of supervisor. Interested Washington Island residents should submit a written self-nomination to the town office no later than 12 pm on May 8. It should include the following information, and each response must be limited to 150 words or fewer: any information you feel the board should consider about your education, background and the like; why you’re interested in this public office; why the board should choose you; what skills you bring; what challenges you see for the Town of Washington Island; what opportunities you see; and what you feel are the most important responsibilities of a town supervisor. An electronic copy of this application is available at washingtonisland-wi.gov.
