The Door County Community Foundation recently awarded We Are HOPE, Inc. a Sustainability Grant from the Education Fund. This grant provides one-to-one job coaching, training and education to assist individuals with disabilities in finding long-term employment. The Job Development Division of We Are HOPE works in collaboration with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to provide this essential education. In 2014, program successes resulted in We Are HOPE being invited to the Governor’s mansion to be recognized on a statewide level.

“The impact of this program is substantial. Door County residents who have participated in this process not only gain job skills, but also grow in self-confidence as they experience an increased sense of accomplishment and independence,” said Bret Bicoy, president and CEO of the Door County Community Foundation.
