Welcome back spring with thoughts of birds, butterflies, gardens and more at the fifth annual Algoma Bird Celebration on April 6, 9 am – 2 pm, at the Algoma Youth Club, 620 Lake Street. This free, family-friendly event celebrates World Migratory Bird Day. Stay for the day, or drop in when you can.
Programs will begin at 10 am with a discussion of birds by Bob Kuhn, a live-bird meet-and-greet with Open Door Bird Sanctuary, a talk about native plants by Karen Newbern and more. Individuals, groups and businesses offering information and items for sale will fill the gym, and the United Methodist Men will sell food and refreshments.
