Poetry Slam at DCA: Hosted by the sixth graders at Gibraltar. Students from Mr. Burress’ and Mrs. Ball’s class will be reading original poetry that they have written over the final quarter of school. Proceeds will benefit Door CANcer. 2pm.

Tomcat Joe at Waterfront Mary’s: Dig the blues? This live concert is for you! 10pm.

Saturday, May 30

Birds and Blooms at Newport State Park: A special presentation by Roy and Charlotte Lukes; naturalists, conservationists, and stewards of all that makes Door County what it is. 10 am.

Free Zip Lining at Lakeshore Adventures:  Free Zip Lining with proceeds and donations benefiting the Door County YMCA Annual Campaign. 10am.

Beard & Mustache Competition at Brewery: Six categories including mustache, partial beard, freestyle, awesome man beard, full beard (over six inches), and children’s division. 12 – 6pm.

Open House at Write On, Door County: Celebrate the second open house of Write On, Door County with live music, open mic readings and a dedication of Norbert Blei’s coop. 1 pm.

Hike at Ida Bay Preserve at Crossroads: This gentle hike will explore the forests and open areas of this lovely site.

Farmers Market in Baileys Harbor: Browse locally made & grown products from Door County farmers & artisans featuring everything from produce to handmade clothing. 9am.
