Wisconsin Coronavirus Cases Near 400

The number of coronavirus cases in Wisconsin surged to 381 on Sunday, an increase of nearly 100 over Saturday’s tally. Most of the cases are in Dane and Milwaukee County, but there are three in Brown County.

Wisconsin has reported four deaths so far.

Door County and Kewaunee have yet to report a positive test result.

In New York, where testing has expanded, the number of cases has surged to 15,777, according to Johns Hopkins University, including 114 deaths. The number of cases in Michigan and Illinois has surpassed 1,000. Chicago alone now reports more than 500 cases.

Nationwide there are now more than 32,000 coronavirus cases and 414 deaths as of Sunday afternoon. That’s more than 10 times the number of U.S. cases as were reported just one week ago.

Italy now reports more than 5,000 dead after another 651 deaths were reported Sunday.

More than 330,000 people have contracted the virus around the world.
