Women’s Fund Commits $100,000 to Child Care Efforts

The Women’s Fund of Door County is committed to granting $100,000 in 2022 to benefit child care efforts in the county and is partnering with United Way of Door County to support efforts that have been ongoing since 2020. 

Grants to United Way help to support the United Way child care community coordinator position for 2022, build a network of home-based child care providers, provide American Red Cross babysitter training and further innovative partnerships with local employers to increase affordability and access to child care. 

The Women’s Fund is also funding the Imagination Station at the Northern Door Children’s Center for the new 4-year-old kindergarten room. To donate, get involved or ask questions, call the Door County Community Foundation at 920.746.1786.
