Woodwalk Features Robin Bienemann

Robin Bienemann

Woodwalk Gallery and Events Barn will host a CD Release Concert featuring Robin Bienemann on Aug. 12. His new CD, Songs About Work, is brilliantly funny, intellectual and raw. This hilarious and touching new batch of songs is inspired by stories of people working for a living.

Bienemann has assembled a special band for this show with three married couples – all luminaries of the Chicago music scene: Robin and his wife Jenny (vocals), Dave (guitar) and Jodi Walker (vocals), and George Lawler (percussion) and Eve Monzinga (clarinet/saxophone).

On August 19, Woodwalk will feature Anne Hills and Michael Smith.

A stunning soprano tone has made Hills one of contemporary folk music’s premier vocalists. In addition to her memorable solo albums, Hills has recorded duo albums with Tom Paxton, Cindy Mangsen, and Michael Smith. Smith is a songwriter, musician, and renowned composer of “The Dutchman” and “Spoon River.”

Hills and Smith have recorded a duet project, Paradise Lost and Found, a live studio recording that beautifully captures the warmth and electricity of their stage performances.

Woodwalk is located south of Egg Harbor, one mile off Highway 42 at 6746 County G. The shows will begin at 7 pm and tickets are $15 at the door. Attendees are welcome to picnic on the back terrace beginning at 5:30 pm. Beer, soft drinks, and ice cream for sale. For more information or to reserve tickets call 920.868.2912.
