Jenny Bienemann CD Release Party at Woodwalk

Jenny Bienemann’s Heading Slowly Toward The Beginning CD release party will be held during the Woodwalk Concert Series on July 5 at 7 pm.

Bienemann is a sought-after solo performer and seasoned harmony singer. Her original songs are often performed with a mic, acoustic guitar and digital “looper,” enabling her to record multiple tracks live in front of the audience, wrapping rich, poetic images in a mesmerizing envelope of sound.

She brings her band The Significant Others to back her up as well as Sue Demel of Sons of the Never Wrong. Bienemann’s debut CD, Late Night Elaborations, was released in 2004 and recognized as one of 2004’s best by WXRT’s Richard Milne.

Heading Slowly Towards The Beginning, supported with a 2012 grant from the Illinois Arts Council, continues to receive national and international radio play.

Tickets are $15 at the door, and reservations are encouraged. Feel free to come as early as 5:30 pm to save seats.
