Woodwalk Gallery Opens ‘Beautiful Possibilities’ Exhibit Online

Woodwalk Gallery (woodwalkgallery.com) opened its first juried online show, Beautiful Possibilities, on March 1. The process, which began in December, has culminated in a two-month online exhibit. The work of the three prize winners and the gallery artists who applied will also form the opening feature exhibit in May and June.

“There was incredible diversity in the 1,089 total submissions in terms of range of subject, media and interpretation of theme,” said judge Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead, executive director of the Miller Art Museum. “My personal approach includes initially digesting the work over a period of days and contemplating the whole of the exhibit in relation to the purpose and theme in a broad sense, followed by careful review of each submission, which was ultimately narrowed down to a collection of just 40 works.” Meissner-Gigstead said she hopes the dialogue between the artist and viewer, even on a screen, “provides a transformative experience.”

The gallery is preparing to open its online gallery and physical gallery, 6746 Cty G in Egg Harbor, by May 1.
