WRWA Invites Writers and Publishers to Fall Conference

The Wisconsin Regional Writers Association’s (WRWA) fall conference will be held in Stevens Point, Wi. at The Ramada Inn from September 23 – 25. The conference will attract writers from all genres.

Judy Bridges of Redbird Writers Studio in Milwaukee will speak at the conference. “At the Saturday luncheon, I’ll talk about what it takes to write well and get happily published. After 20 years of coaching successful writers at Redbird Studio, I have some good ideas about this that I enjoy sharing,” she said.

Wisconsin’s Poet Laureate Bruce Dethlefsen, of Westfield, Wi., will speak to the group on Sunday morning leading into the Jade Ring Contest luncheon and award ceremony.

“The WRWA has a history of supporting all writers in all genres. Having Wisconsin Poet Laureates speak at our meetings has set the bar for speakers and attendees very high,” said past president LaMoine MacLaughlin.

Meeting planner Jenny Turner has addressed the other genres by organizing panels of writers. Panels will include Romance, Young Adult, and Making Money Writing.
