41 Films Featured at Door County Short Film Fest

Come to the seventh annual Door County Short Film Festival (DCSFF) in the Sister Bay Village Hall, Feb. 12 and 13. Film Fest premiere night starts at 7 pm on Feb. 12 and will showcase 10 short films. The festival continues on Feb. 13 with sessions at 9 am, 11 am, 2 pm, 4 pm, and “Best of the Fest” begins at 7 pm.

This year the DCSFF will premiere 41 short films from all over the world and a variety of states. Hang out after the premieres and discuss the movies, makings of, and techniques with the filmmakers in the Village Hall. More than 200 hours of short films were submitted for the 2016 DC Short Film Fest, and the jury committee was challenged to narrow the films down to fit into the two days.

New this year is “Best of the Fest.” Film Festers will vote for their favorite film from each session. The top picks will be shown at the “Best of the Fest.” The 2016 People’s Choice Golden Coffee Mug will be presented to the film that receives the most votes during the Saturday night session.

Beverages, popcorn and other goodies will be available. Also, save your film fest ticket. Local restaurants are offering discounts to Film Festers who present their ticket with their order. Tickets for each session are $5 per person, or $20 for an All Access Pass, good for all sessions, both days. All money goes into the D.C. Short Film Fest fund for next year.
