Beginning Mindfulness Class Offered at Sturgeon Bay United Methodist

A Beginning Mindfulness Class series is being offered at Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church, 836 Michigan Street, starting Jan. 5, 11:30 – 12:30 pm. In this three-week series participants will learn various forms of mindfulness meditation including sitting meditation, body scan and mindful movement as well as learn how to use the breath as a stress reduction tool. The instructor, Barbara Wulf, is offering these three classes for $10. Call 920.743.3241 to register.

The Memory Cafe is a place where people with early memory loss and their caregivers can get together for a social outing in an accepting atmosphere. In January there will be a trip across town to the Maritime Museum on Jan. 4. The Golden Living Center Dorchester is sponsoring the first 20 people who sign up to cover the admission price. The Senior Center is donating the bus to give people a ride from Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church; meet at 2 pm. Call 920.743.3241 to register.

The Parkinson Disease Support Group will meet on Jan. 7 at 11:30 am for an informal luncheon meeting at Stone Harbor in Sturgeon Bay. Bring along an appetite and a favorite joke. Call Carol with questions at 920.743.3476.
