2018 Ellison Bay Fall Art Crawl

Ellison Bay celebrates the fall season with the annual Ellison Bay Fall Art Crawl, Oct. 20-21, 10 am – 5 pm. Take a leisurely tour and enjoy demonstrations, locally made cider, refreshments, prize drawings and new works.

Clay Bay Pottery’s theme this year is “42 Years on Highway 42.” David and Jeanne Aurelius welcome all to their gallery to see their new work and sign up to win a piece of pottery.

Turtle Ridge Gallery/Boutique celebrates the work of Kirsten Logerquist, their newest team member. Logerquist makes delicate, affordable jewelry with unique color combinations of beads, found objects and interesting constructions. New bag styles this season include offerings from the Route Collection and the Classic Collection. Enter their prize drawing and enjoy the open studio and grounds.

Ellison Bay Pottery will have a wide variety of beer steins fresh from the kiln along with their famous soup mugs, baking dishes and bowls.

The Clearing is celebrating their 83rd anniversary. The Bookstore and Gift Shop is open 10 am – 4 pm as is the entire 128-acre campus. Docent tours are on both days with volunteers demonstrating their arts and crafts in the Jens Jensen Center on Sunday, and serving cider and homemade cookies. Sign up to win a door prize.

Join Judy and Thor Thoreson of Gills Rock Pottery for Thor’s turkey sandwiches made in their woodfire oven. Enjoy the gallery filled with their latest pottery creations along with table linens and woodenware.

Linden Gallery celebrates their 22nd season; this will be their last weekend open until 2019. New to the gallery are Bettina Madini yoga pants, scarves and fine art; Beltshazzar jewelry; and Brilliant Stranger ancestry cloth shawls and tunics. Linden Gallery is a premier source of Asian fine art, furniture, textiles, wood and bronze sculptures and rare antiquities.

Travel a little north on Highway 42 to find Rob Williams Studio/Gallery among the birches. See his new contemporary landscape paintings and his wife Shirley’s black and white photography. Enjoy refreshments, a chance to win an original painting and free 2019 desk calendars.

Sample or enjoy a glass of cider, warm spiced cider and small plates at Island Orchard Cider to wrap up the Fall Art Crawl.
