Broomball Playoff Matchups Set for Feb. 14

The field for the Hilander Cup Tournament to decide the 2021 Northern Door Broomball League Champion is set!

Johnson’s Park sailed to the number one seed with a perfect 5-0 record, earning a first-round bye. Alexander’s gets the other bye. In Wednesday’s makeup game, Door County Brewing Co. outslugged Husby’s to earn the third seed. They’ll get a rematch with JJ’s, who they edged in week 1, 2-1.

Spectators are encouraged to visit the rink for the tournament, where there will be hot chocolate, beer, brats and other snacks for sale, plus the pleasure rink open for families to skate all day.

To learn more about broomball, read this, or just run around a big patch of ice in tennis shoes and swing a stick at a soccer ball. That will give you the general idea.
