A Celebration Of Root Beer

Celebrate all things Root Beer during the Door County Historical Society’s Root Beer Festival on July 8, 10 am – 3 pm, at Heritage Village at Big Creek, next to Crossroads at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay.

This fun, family-centered festival features a special presentation in the schoolhouse about the history of root beer, live blacksmith demonstrations, historical building tours, live polka music by Jerry Voelker and the Jolly Gents, games for kids of all ages, root-beer cookies on the porch, food trucks for lunch options, and root-beer floats and flights. Cast your vote to determine Door County’s favorite root beer.

Admission is $5 per person, and visitors 18 and younger are free. Learn more about this program and others at doorcountyhistoricalsociety.org.
