Active Shooter Scams

At least one local school district has reported that school districts and police departments across the state are receiving calls about active shooters being within schools. No local school districts have received such a call, but the Gibraltar School District informed parents about the situation, assuring them that the calls are coming from out of state and appear to be a hoax.

“We are monitoring this situation and will update parents if needed,” said Gibraltar Superintendent Brett Stousland in a message to parents. “If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s school office.”
