Alanna Paye Wins AMVETS National Americanism Contest

Alanna Paye, second grade student at St. John Bosco Catholic School, was selected as the state winner of the AMVETS National Americanism Contest. Kindergarten and first grade students from all over the state who attend public, private, parochial, Sunday, and home schools were able to participate. At the school mass on Oct. 21, Robert Gamble of local AMVETS Weber-Tess Post 51 of Sturgeon Bay presented Paye with a certificate of recognition and $75 for her first place prize. He also presented the school with a new American flag to celebrate Paye’s accomplishment.
