Altrusa International of Door County Receives Grant for Back-to-School Fair

Altrusa International of Door County was recently honored with a substantial grant of $1,500 from the Altrusa International Foundation. Club member Cheri Meyvis wrote for the grant. The donation will be used for school supplies for the club’s largest community service project – the Back-to-School Fair. Grants from the Altrusa International Foundation are available to local clubs to improve economic well-being and quality of life in the community through commitment to service and literacy. In its 18th year, this project will also provide backpacks, gym shoes, paid registration fees, school spirit shirts and toiletries to Door County school children of all ages.
