Peninsula State Park Golf Course invites golfers to participate in the 92nd Annual Resorters Tournament, Aug. 7-10. This very popular tournament is one of the oldest golfing events in Door County. Registration is now open.
Flights are determined by either your USGA handicap index, your average score at Peninsula, or your home course average score. This information must be included on the Entry Form and received before noon Aug. 5.
The organizers hope everyone will take special care in providing accurate estimated scores in order to keep the fun and competitive spirit that has been the tradition of this tournament since 1925. The tournament will be open to amateur adult and junior golfers only. (Golfers that hold a professional status will not be allowed to participate).
Gift certificates, prizes or trophies will be awarded in all classes and flights. Pairings will be posted after 5 pm, Aug. 5 at the Clubhouse.
This year’s Junior Resorters Tournament will consist of two days of nine-hole medal play, followed by one 18-hole round of match play for the two finalists in each bracket. Junior golfers ages 10 through 14 are invited to compete. Ages 12 years and over may elect to play in the adult tournament (adult fees apply).
Entry fees are $95 Adults, $32 Juniors ages 10-14, and $25 Peninsula Golf Seasonal Members. All entry forms should be mailed, along with the entry fee, payable to Peninsula Golf Associates, or they may be brought to the Clubhouse prior to 12 pm, Aug. 5. Entry fees include two days and non-refundable green fees. Golfers who play on days three and four are required to pay additional green fees.
