Annual “Children’s Day in Ephraim” Event Scheduled

The Ephraim Historical Foundation’s 17th annual Children’s Day in Ephraim is set for Wednesday, July 16 from 8 am – 12:30 pm at the Anderson Barn History Center, 3060 Anderson Lane.

With the 2008 theme of “Carry the Torch – China and the Olympics,” this half-day of fun for children ages 6 – 11 includes crafts, learning games, and snacks. Rich in tradition, the country of China contains some of the world’s oldest civilizations and cultures – and is also home to this summer’s Olympic Games! Have a fun-filled day with the staff and volunteers at the Ephraim Historical Foundation as we learn about the traditions, food, and crafts of China, and also take part in some Olympic games of our own!

The event takes place rain or shine at the Anderson Barn History Center. Check-in for Children’s Day is at 8 am, and parents/guardians should pick up their children at 12:30 pm. Advance registration is suggested as space for the event is very limited. Cost of Children’s Day is $18 per child and includes snacks, a t-shirt, and all craft activities. Snacks will be provided around 10 am, so children should eat breakfast before they arrive.
