‘Annual Juried Exhibit’ at Hardy Gallery

The Hardy Gallery presents its 56th Annual Juried Exhibit, June 15 – July 15. The exhibit features a selection of artwork from local and regional artists. The most notable of the Hardy exhibits, this exhibit features a variety of media in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, ceramics and mixed media. Emerging artists have the opportunity to gauge their development and established artists have the opportunity to explore new ideas and techniques.

Three jurors were selected to survey the show and judge work based on artistic merit, aesthetics, craftsmanship and originality. Four awards are announced during the opening reception on June 15 at 5:30 pm. Awards include First Place, Second Place, Third Place and People’s Choice. In addition, each juror will select one work to be awarded a Juror Award for outstanding work.

A conversation with the jurors is scheduled for June 15 at 12 pm at the Hardy Gallery, allowing the jurors to speak in-depth about their process for jurying the exhibit. The panel discussion is free and open to the public. In addition, all jurors’ artwork will be on display during the duration of the exhibit.
