Ash Glaze Porcelain

Pottery by Chad Luberger.

Plum Bottom Pottery & Gallery has new pottery from resident porcelain artist Chad Luberger. Luberger works exclusively in porcelain and has a new selection of mugs, bowls and bottles. Perfect for a fall cup of tea or a bowl of spicy chili, these pieces are dishwasher safe and made right here in Door County.

New square mugs will be on display for the first time, featuring rich green and metallic gold colors. Luberger also will feature pieces in his Door County Ash Glaze, a glaze that uses ash from trees in Door County which, once melted, create beautiful rivulets of flowing blues colors.

Plum Bottom also announces their expanded winter hours. The gallery will be open Thursday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm from November to April. A new parking area closer to the gallery will also soon be opening to facilitate an easier entrance in the winter months. Plum Bottom Pottery & Gallery is open daily 10 am to 5 pm through Oct. 31. To visit go 15 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay or five minutes south of Egg Harbor on Highway 42 then east on Plum Bottom Road to 4999 Plum Bottom Rd.
