Baptiste Paul To Speak At Write On Gala

Registration is open for Write On, Door County’s 10th annual Fall Gala, a yearly celebration of the organization’s accomplishments and future plans. This year’s theme is “sharing our stories.”

The gala will take place Oct. 26, starting with cocktails at 5:30 pm. Dinner by Thyme Catering will start at 6:30 pm, and at 8 pm, award-winning author Baptiste Paul (see related story) will take the stage for reading and conversation. 

Paul has written children’s books including The Field, To Carnival, Peace, Climb On, and the recently-released Patchwork Prince. Memoirist Faith Adiele was originally slated to appear at the gala but canceled due to health concerns. 

To reserve your seat, visit writeondoorcounty.org before midnight, Oct. 22. Tickets are $150 per person. The gala is held at the Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion, 7845 Church St in Egg Harbor.
