Be Seen in Madison

The Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters is issuing a Call for Artists from all over the state to exhibit in the James Watrous Gallery, located on the third floor of Madison’s Overture Center for the Arts. Professional Wisconsin artists working in all media are encouraged to apply.

Artists selected will be invited to exhibit within the next three years, with the earliest exhibition opening in early 2015. Most shows will be in the form of two side-by-side solo exhibitions. Artists must be Wisconsin residents at the time of application and exhibition. Wisconsin Academy policy precludes showing student work. The jurors are Debra Brehmer, Derrick Buisch, and Scott Espeseth.

Applications must be submitted online by midnight on May 18, and artists will be notified of jury selections by June 10.

Applications are being accepted online through the ‘2014 Call for Artists’ page on the Wisconsin Academy website, wisconsinacademy.org. There is a $15 application fee.

Applications must include: 8-10 digital images of recent work or links to video-sharing sites; title, date, media, and dimensions for each artwork; a resume; and a brief exhibition proposal. For specifications or more information contact Jody Clowes at 608.265.2500 or [email protected].
