Beekeeping Lecture at Liberty Grove Historical Society

Bees will be “buzzing” at the Liberty Grove Historical Society members meeting on June 20 at 7 pm. David Keen, who has been raising bees for years, will share his knowledge of beekeeping at the Century Farm barn atop of the hill overlooking Ellison Bay. Everyone is invited to Keen’s talk, as more Northern Door residents take up beekeeping for fun and/or profit.

The meeting will launch Liberty Grove Historical Society’s “high season” schedule of events, all of which are open to the general public, including: June 23, 4-8 pm – annual fish boil at the Viking Grill in Ellison Bay; June 25 & 26, 10 am-5 pm – Olde Ellison Bay Days booth; June 25, 1:30-3:30 pm – Spirit Walk at the cemetery on Mink River Road; July 9, 10 am-3pm – Vintage Day rummage sale and kite flying at Century Farm; July 23 & 24 – Antique Tractor Show/Arts & Crafts Fair at Century Farm; Aug. 15, 10 am-3 pm – Vintage Day community rummage sale at Century Farm; Sept. 19 , 10am-3pm – Vintage Day sale and chair painting; Oct. 9, 10 am-3pm – Vintage Day sale and Fall Color Day.
