You can feel it in the air…the first weekend of spring is nearly upon us! Celebrate the coming season with a traveling theater show, a taste of some regional brews or an afternoon of Sheepshead to support an upcoming tree planting project.
Friday, March 18
Join the actors of Rogue Theater at Sonny’s Pizzeria for an evening dinner show of Dealt a Deadly Hand: Murder at the Pocono Royale Casino built on audience participation. Prizes will be awarded to the three guests who correctly guess the murderer and the motive. 6:30 pm.
Saturday, March 19
The Dyckesville and Kewaunee Lions Club will hold their 10th annual Roar On the Shore Beer & Wine Tasting at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds on Saturday afternoon. This festival features regionally brewed craft beers and wines, along with well-known craft brewed beers from small breweries across Wisconsin and Michigan. 2 – 6 pm.
Color use, textural play and technical skill are prominent in the works of this new show at Meadows Art Gallery, bringing viewers a welcome change from a Door County winter. Meet the artists during the exhibit’s opening reception from 2 – 4 pm.
Head to Apple Valley Lanes in Sturgeon Bay this weekend to bowl for the benefit of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin. Enjoy snacks, the music of DJ Michael Raye and a chance to win some great raffle prizes. Registration can be found at www.bbbsnew.org.

Celebrate the First Day of Spring
Today is the first day of spring! Celebrate the coming warmth and color of the season by getting outdoors to enjoy all the wonderful nature that Door County has to offer. On the calendar for the day? A naturalist-led hike of The Ridges’ newly acquired Appel Bluff. 2 pm.
