Bench Dedication Honors Jan Luser

BookNook Gardens (BNG) will host a storytime bench dedication April 30, 10 am, at the Storybook Trail in Murphy Park. This will be the group’s final gathering because it had previously announced its dissolution plans.

Three benches are being placed along the Storybrook Trail to honor Jan Luser, a former BNG board director who died in February. Kirsten Jacquet, BNG board chair, will give a dedication speech, and local author Sue Jarosh will offer a special storytime reading.

In the summer of 2021, Jarosh was asked to donate a book to the Door County Board of Realtors to help facilitate a Storybook Trail to be installed at Murphy Park. Her book Eagle Bluff Lighthouse Mouse was chosen.

Refreshments will be available, and all are encouraged to explore the Storybook Trail. Jarosh will also be available to sign and sell copies of her book and other merchandise.
