Book Mania

The 33rd Annual Used Book Sale will take place July 24 – 26 at the Sturgeon Bay Library, 107 S. 4th Avenue, Sturgeon Bay. Sponsored by the Friends of Door County Libraries, this popular event is the main fundraiser for the Friends of Door County Libraries, which typically awards some $20,000 worth of grants each year to support programs and activities at all the Door County libraries.

The sale kicks off with a special Friends members-only preview on July 24, 5 pm to 8:30 pm (non-members can join at the door; $10 for an annual membership). The general public is invited on July 25, from 9 am to 5 pm, and on July 26, from 9 am to 1 pm. The flat price for an entire bag of books is $3.

Sorted and categorized for easy browsing, the sale offers thousands of titles, with the majority priced at $1 a volume. In addition to a wide range of fiction, there is also a huge selection of non-fiction on myriad topics, as well as children’s books, CDs and DVDs.
