Brian Pier Receives Hollywood Recognition

Located in the Plum Bottom area, three miles south of downtown Egg Harbor, is a little known gallery of fine art where big things are happening. Whispering Pines Studio & Art Gallery is the showplace of the beautiful oil paintings of Brian Pier.

Although new to Door County, Pier is not a novice gallery owner. He, together with his partner, owned and operated Forever Grateful Resale Boutique & Art Gallery in Kenosha for the past four years. When opening Whispering Pines Gallery, Pier had not a clue as to the blessings that would soon follow.

Shortly after his relocation to Door County, Pier participated in and won second place in the Door County Plein Air Festival Dockside Quick Paint. Shortly after he received first place honors at the Door County Maritime Museum’s Classic and Wooden Boat Show “Paint the Bay” competition. This summer, he again entered the American Art Awards in Hollywood. Two weeks ago, Pier was notified of the first place win of his painting “Monterey Harbor.” Although it’s already sold, “Monterey Harbor,” together with a large collection of his work, can be seen at Whispering Pines Studio and Art Gallery. The gallery is located at 6713 Highway 42, three miles south of Egg Harbor and one lot north of Touch of Class Beauty Salon.
