Classes on Brunch, Herbs Offered At Savory Spoon July 15

Join Savory Spoon Cooking School’s in-house chocolatier, Kathy McCarthy, and discover some new trends for preparing new brunch recipes at the “New Look at Brunch” class July 15 at 9:30 am. McCarthy has taught classes at Savory Spoon for the past nine years and now teaches across the state – she always has some fun, new techniques to share.

The menu includes: Chilled Door County Cherry Soup; Door County Poutine; Open Face Breakfast Torta with Homemade Naan; and Peanut Butter Banana Bread Yogurt Parfaits.

Later that same day is a class all about herbs. They are certainly more than a garnish to dishes. Join Savory Spoon Cooking School on July 15 at 6 pm at the historic schoolhouse where Amy Rebhan will take the mystery out of cooking and pairing herbs with favorite dishes.

The menu includes: Cilantro-Pepita Hummus; Shrimp and Cannellini Salad with Tarragon Vinaigrette; Vegetables with Garlic Dill Sauce; Vegetable and Potato Frittata; and Pecan-Crusted Mojito Bars.
