Helping Area Veterans
On July 10 at the Veterans Service Council, Ken Wendt (right) presented a check to Joe Heilman, Chairman of the Door County Veterans Service Council.
The check of $2,729.36 came from the Armed Forces Day Breakfast proceeds and a donation from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. All of the proceeds will be used to help area veterans.
Dental Clinic Donation
A $1,000 donation was made to the MDCMC Dental Clinic from Prince of Peace Church as one of their mission projects. The donation was from proceeds of a recent dinner and speaker event held at the church.

Golf Classic for Door County Charities
Door County Charities, a charitable organization that benefits children and women’s causes, held its annual “Door County Charities Golf Classic” on June 18 at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club in Egg Harbor.
Ministry Door County Medical Center Dental Clinic and the Volunteer Center of Door County were recipients of $9,000 each from monies raised at the event.
