Chime In On Deer Harvest

County Deer Advisory Councils (CDAC) will meet for the first time in 2015 to form preliminary antlerless deer harvest quota and permit level recommendations for the 2015 deer season.

Each CDAC will help determine antlerless tag availability for the 2015 deer-hunting season through preliminary antlerless quota recommendations. Antlerless quotas are reviewed and adjusted annually.

Councils use a number of resources, including deer population data, harvest data, public input and other information to help direct deer management in their county.

The public is encouraged to attend their county’s council meeting and provide input. The Door County meeting will be held at 7 pm on March 23 in the Door County Government Center, 421 Nebraska St., Sturgeon Bay.
