Clipper Golfers Win Match at Vernon Hills

Sturgeon Bay’s boys golf team has now won the first four Packerland Conference matches of the season.

On Monday, the Clippers finished first at the Vernon Hills Golf Course near Peshtigo. 

Sturgeon Bay carded a 178, followed by Gibraltar (183), Southern Door (191), Sevastopol (204), Oconto (217) and Kewaunee (218).

Kewaunee’s Evan Maccaux recorded the top individual score for the second meet in a row at 38, three strokes ahead of Oconto’s Carter Koch at 41, followed by a four-way tie for third at 42 between Sturgeon Bay’s Luke Selle and Tre Wienke, Southern Door’s Finley LaVine and Gibraltar’s Teddy Roth.

The next conference match is set for Thursday at the Idlewild Golf Course.
