Clipper Girls Golfers Compete at Scramble

Sturgeon Bay’s girls golf team played Friday in a nine-hole scramble event with Bonduel, Luxemburg-Casco and Oconto at the Irish Greens Golf Course in Oconto.

Partnering with two players, the Clippers best showing at the varsity level came from juniors Merrill Kelsey and Sayde Jeanquart, who scored a 48 to place fifth.

Sturgeon Bay’s other two pairs of golfers competing included sophomores Layla Stai and Keira Wesley carding a 55 for 10th place, and freshman Hayden Montevideo and sophomore Lauren Meachem recording a 62 for 11th place.
