The Sturgeon Bay boys and girls track teams swept the team titles at the Door County Classic Monday at Gibraltar.
In the girls meet, the Clippers won the title with 99 points; Sevastopol was second with 99; and Southern Door and Gibraltar followed with 49 and 38 points, respectively.
The Clippers scored 92.5 points in the boys meet to edge Southern Door with 89 points. Gibraltar was third with 53.5 points, and Sevastopol scored 33 points.
Sturgeon Bay’s DJ Lenius was named male athlete of the meet. He took first place in the 110-meter hurdles, the 300-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash. He also placed third in the triple jump. Evan Henry was first in the 1,600-meter run and the 3,200-meter run. He placed second in the 400-meter dash and third in the high jump.
Sevastopol’s Olivia Stenzel, a sophomore, was named female athlete of the meet. She won the 1,600-meter run, the 400-meter run and the 800-meter run. Abbi Sitte finished first in the 100-meter dash, the 200-meter dash and the 4×100-meter relay, and she was second in the high jump.
