Clippers Win Math-Meet Opener

Sturgeon Bay students won the first Packerland Conference Math Meet of the season, paced by Ben Stephens’ score of 37 out of a possible 40 to lead the way. Teammates Luke Selle, Julia Michalski, Jack Konop and Trey Wienke recorded the four top scores among the juniors.

Southern Door’s James Zittlow finished two points behind Stephens among the seniors, and Sturgeon Bay’s Gavin Forest took fifth behind Kewaunee’s Katie Meier and James Joski. 

Among the sophomores, Grant Pieschek from Southern Door and Kiera Wesley from Sturgeon Bay tied for first, and among ninth-graders, Sturgeon Bay’s Calvin Langfeldt finished first ahead of Sevastopol’s Luke Filar.

Kewaunee and Southern Door tied for second in the varsity meet behind Sturgeon Bay, and Sevastopol took fourth.

Sturgeon Bay fielded three teams.
