Cooperative Recycling Venture

The Liberty Grove Town Board and the Sister Bay Village Board have authorized a cooperative venture to increase recycling and protect the environment.

All residents, business owners or operators, and owners of property in the Village of Sister Bay and the Town of Liberty Grove are encouraged to participate in a Shredding/Appliance Recycling Day on June 20. There will be no charge to have documents securely shredded or to recycle most computer components and small household appliances, but fees of up to $15 could be charged to recycle refrigerators, computer monitors and microwaves, or any other items which have a compressor or a screen. All shredded materials and appliances will be recycled.

Any documents to be shredded as well as any appliances or computer components to be recycled should be brought to the parking lot at the Liberty Grove Town Hall – 11161 Old Stage Road between 9 am and 1 pm on June 20. Before large items will be placed on the truck any and all recycling fees must be paid.

Due to overwhelming response in the past, people from other municipalities will not be allowed to participate in this program. For more information, call 920.854.4118 or 920.854.2934.
