Cozy Camaraderie At Egg Harbor Library

Jan. 5 marks Egg Harbor Library’s first Hygge Friday. 

Hygge (pronounced hue-gah) is Danish for cozy, warm or homey. It’s also a national pastime in Denmark that involves homespun pleasures like candlelight, knitted socks, coffee, cookies and loved ones to get through a long, dark winter. 

At Egg Harbor Library’s Hygge Fridays, guests can enjoy tea, cocoa, and cookies and curl up in a hyggekrog (a cozy nook) with a book. 

The event will take place every Friday in January (Jan. 5, 12, 19 and 16,) 9 am – 1 pm. The library is located at 7845 Church St. in Egg Harbor.
