Crime Prevention Foundation Launched

The Door County Sheriff’s Department has partnered with the Door County Community Foundation, Inc. to launch the Door County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Foundation. The Crime Prevention Foundation, a component fund of the Door County Community Foundation, will promote innovative programs and equipment that will enhance the Sheriff’s Department in establishing strategies to prevent crime and strengthen relationships with the community. The Sheriff’s Department will submit project ideas to an independent board of advisers who will oversee the Crime Prevention Foundation. The first project is to raise $25,000 for a police canine.
