Crossroads Trail Run/Walk

This weekend Crossroads brings back their annual Crossroads Trail Run/Walk on June 23. The Crossroads Trail Run/Walk is an event for all ages and levels of runners and walkers. Every registrant receives a performance T-shirt, a native shrub, and a cherry sundae with granola topping. Crossroads Trail Run/Walk features a 2k fun, 5k and 10k run, all with chip timing. Proceeds from the event support the Ski-for-Free program and Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay.

Since its inception, the mission of this event has been to increase an awareness of “living green.” The race shirts are made from recycled fabrics, awards and event refreshments are locally grown or produced within 20 miles and biodegradable paper goods are used. Food waste is composted and water bottles are encouraged. New this year is a Running Shoe Collection Site. Shoe collections runs from June 21-23 at the Collins Learning Center.

Check-in and registration for the Trail Run is June 22, 5-8 pm, with registration continuing on June 22 at 6:30 am. Race start times include 8, 8:05 and 8:10 am. For more information visit crossroadsrun.com or crossroadsatbigcreek.com.
