Das Displays New Watercolors at BHD in Door County

Blue Dolphin House and BHD Studio will host Ratindra Das in a special showing of new work on September 16 from 2 – 4 pm in the Gardens.

“I search for the truth and beauty through the medium of watercolor and strives to achieve a goal of painting in an organized yet effortless manner,” said Das.

Das is a Dolphin Fellow and a signature member of the American Watercolor Society (AWS). He is recipient of numerous awards including six in the AWS. In 2010 he was invited to exhibit in the “Shanghai Zhujiajiao International Watercolor Biennial Exhibition” and the “Second International Water Media Masters in Nanjing,” China.

A popular workshop instructor and frequent juror of shows and competitions, he has served as a selection juror for the AWS and many other national exhibitions. He has conducted workshops and seminars throughout the U.S., Mexico, Singapore and China.

He has been featured in several books and magazines and recently was included in a featured article “Break the Rules” in Watercolor Magazine.

The Dolphin Fellowship has been established to encourage artists to create more award-winning paintings and for the advancement of the art of watercolor. Das was inducted into the Fellowship this last April.
