Stacey Small Rupp’s Watercolors at Cottage Row

Watercolorist Stacey Small Rupp will be the featured artist at Cottage Row Gallery June 3-17. A selection of her original watercolors, limited edition prints and hand-painted notecards will be available.

Rupp has been painting the Door County landscape for more than 20 years. After earning a BFA in Graphic Design from UW-Stout in 1992, she has concentrated exclusively on painting with watercolors. A native of Door County, her paintings capture its “spirit” – fresh, tranquil and charming are words often used to describe her work. Shorelines, trees and old barns with wildflowers are some of her favorite subjects as well as the ever-changing seasons.

On June 10, Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery will release its ninth edition of their Door County Lighthouse Wine. The Baileys Harbor Range Lights will be the featured lighthouse with Rupp’s watercolor rendition of the Lighthouse creating the label for this 2017 edition in the series. The distinctive cobalt blue lighthouse-shaped bottle is filled with a delicious, semi-dry Cherry Riesling wine. Rupp will be available June 10, 1-3 pm, in Lautenbach’s new Cupola Room to autograph bottles. Limited edition prints of the lighthouse painting will be available at the bottle signing and at Cottage Row Gallery.

Cottage Row Gallery is located at 9197 Hwy. 42, a half-mile south of Fish Creek in the big red barn at Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery. The gallery is open 10am – 5pm and Sundays 10am – 4pm. For more information, call 920.868.2626 or visit cottagerowgallerydc.com.
