DC String Academy Launches Fundraising Campaign

The Door County String Academy is launching a major fundraising campaign. The String Academy, formerly the Peninsula Music Festival Youth String Program, is a stand-alone nonprofit that provides children in Door County with the opportunity to participate in string orchestras and learn to play string instruments. Tuition to participate in the academy covers just a quarter of the cost of participation. Due to the overwhelming response of the Door County community, the program has grown to the point where more funding is needed to make it possible. Increased costs for instrument repair, administrative expenses, tuition and financial aid have made it necessary to raise funds.
