Deborah Dendler, local sculptor, is presenting her work in a solo exhibition, Deborah Dendler Drawings and Sculptures, at the Landau Gallery, Belmont, Mass., from Dec. 1 to Jan. 15. Dendler’s solo show is a cohesive body of her latest work, featuring more than 40 bronze, terra cotta and porcelain sculptures, and drawings. Using old master techniques and demonstrating consistent command of figurative style, Dendler’s drawings are the foundation of her work and an integral part of her artistic practice. Dendler’s terra cotta, porcelain and bronze sculptures depict landscapes, birds, animals, figures and portraits in styles ranging from naturalism to romantic realism.
Dendler is also the recipient of the Lilah Gardiner Award at the 120th Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Exhibition at the National Arts Club, New York. For more information visit deborahdendler.com.
