Dedication of Bas-Releifs at St. Michael the Archangel

On July 8 at 12 pm, a newly commissioned bronze logo bas-reliefs will be unveiled and dedicated at Stella Maris Parish’s St. Michael the Archangel in Jacksonport.

The logo, designed in 2009 by Sara Holloway of Gobi Creative, was requested by Stella Maris Pastor, Reverend David Ruby in response to parishioner feedback to have a unifying identifier for the entire parish.

“Our logo instantly tells our story and lets people know that, even though we have five churches, we are one parish,” says Ruby.

Patty Degenhardt, a parishioner, came up with the idea and donated an impression for a bronze bas-relief. Keith Clayton cast them in his local studio.
