Democratic Candidate for Governor at Thomas Paine Dinner May 10

The Democratic Party of Door County will hold their annual Thomas Paine Dinner and Fundraiser May 10, 5-7:30 pm at Door County Fire Company in Sturgeon Bay. Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Mahlon Mitchell will be the keynote speaker. He will be joined by candidate for Door County Sheriff, Tammy Sternard.

Mitchell is a firefighter and current president of the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin. Assuming this office in 2011, Mitchell became the youngest and first African-American president of the organization.

Sternard has served in the Door County Sheriff’s Department for 25 years with more than a decade of that time in administrative roles. She currently serves as the jail lieutenant.

Seating is limited, but some tickets will be available at the door for $25. This year’s dinner includes choice of four mini-sandwiches, four soups, fruit platters, cookies, bars and more.
