Denmark Installing Solar Panels – In Roads

The Dutch are installing Solaroads, a pilot program beginning with bike lanes. A centimeter thick layer of crystalline silicon solar cells is laid over a layer of concrete, covered by a tough layer of glass. The energy can power street lights, traffic systems and homes.
