Dermond Peterson Trunk Show at Turtle Ridge

Turtle Ridge is holding a trunk show with Dermond Peterson on May 21 and 22, 10 am – 5 pm.

Founded in 2001 by sisters Sandra Dermond and Susan Peterson, Dermond Peterson is an artisan/manufacturing company that combines the rich, tactile qualities of “fine art” printmaking techniques with innovative and slyly conceptual design strategies to produce fresh, functional textiles for everyday use at home.

Although frequently teetering on the brink of abstraction, Dermond Peterson focuses on the figurative traditions of textile design, presenting a range of imagery that takes on the classic motifs of domestic design and playfully explores the iconography (and clichés) of home fashion.

Their goal is to create an environmentally conscious product without compromising beauty, form or function. Every item is block-printed by hand in their Milwaukee studios on linen and cotton fabric using environmentally sensitive, water-based inks that are free of solvents, lead and heavy metals. Everything is washable and superbly colorfast, resulting in a product that is eco-friendly, beautiful, purposeful and durable.

Turtle Ridge is located at 11736 Mink River Rd. in Ellison Bay. For more information, call 920.854.4839 or visit turtleridgegallery.com.
