Designing Your Nest

Ellison Bay Arts will present their first design showroom at Uncork Summer on June 28 and 29. The theme of the showroom is “Build your Nest.” The space will be designed to showcase Ellison Bay Arts members, and special pieces in a collaborative setting to inspire guests to use local art when filling their “nest.”

The Ellison Bay Arts includes: Clay Bay Pottery, Linden Gallery, Cousin’s Walk, Turtle Ridge, Savory Spoon Cooking School, Gills Rock Stoneware, Rob Williams Gallery, The Clearing Folk School, Ellison Bay Pottery, Island Orchard Cider and Bonnie Parch Gallery.

Pottery, paintings, furniture and fiber art, will provide guests with many ideas to decorate their nests. The grounds of the Wickman House are a perfect location to sample small plates of food from some of the best Door County restaurants, wineries, breweries and Island Orchard Cider House. The design showroom hours are June 28, 10 am -7 pm and June 29, 10 am – 2 pm.

Award winning jeweler, Christy Klug will also show her work at Turtle Ridge Gallery in Ellison Bay, July 5 and 6. One of Klug’s pieces won an award at the National Jewelry Design Exhibition. Klug works in silver, gold and enamel. Her contemporary works feature piercing, fabrication and graphite drawing under enamels. A reception party will be held on July 5, 10 am – 7 pm.
