Dick Campbell Receives Rotary Club Award

Rotarian Ed Douglass presents the Otto and Jean Andreae World Community Service Award to Dick Campbell.

The Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay presented the Otto and Jean Andreae World Community Service Award to Dick Campbell on April 26. For 20 years, Campbell has been an advocate and sponsor of Hmong people and the Hmong community in northeast Wisconsin. By devoting as much as 30 to 40 hours a week, he has championed the rights of Hmong people and united Hmong families that were split apart as a result of war and terror in Laos and Cambodia.

The Otto and Jean Andreae Award was established in 1996 by the Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay in honor of Otto and Jean. They hold the unofficial Door County record for hosting the most Rotary exchange students, dating back to 1948. The award is given to non-Rotarians for exemplary international and intercultural service.
